Surrey Technology Centre

STC - Services and Facilities

Telephone

Each unit is supplied with a minimum of five extension points and handsets, one of which is programmable. Up to 15 additional extension points can be supplied for a one off installation charge. All extensions in The Surrey Technology Centre have a direct dial in facility (DDI) that allows each extension to receive directly dialed calls.

All incoming calls using DDI will automatically divert to the central switchboard if there is no answer. The receptionist will then answer in the company’s own name and take a message which will be passed to the company at the earliest opportunity.

Diverted DDI calls are answered by the switchboard using the individual name of the company. All DDI numbers can accommodate fax and modem use. Companies can organise their own direct lines; however, these companies are not able to opt out of the costs incurred in providing the central telephone and switchboard service.

Internet Connections

All available units have been cabled with Cat5e, with one connection point per unit. This ensures a fast, efficient connection which enables tenants to have autonomy over their IT. As part of the service, each company receives one public IP address, which is portable around the building.

We also offer a competitively priced Premium Broadband service which offers individual companies bandwith from 5Mbs and upwards. Prices for this service is upon application and dependant on the bandwith required.

Fax

There is a fax machine within the reception area which is operated by the receptionist who will send and receive faxes on behalf of tenants.Fax machines may be installed in tenants' units, but they will not be able to opt out of the costs incurred in providing a central fax service.

Photocopying

We provide one colour and one black and white photocopier for tenants' use. These are operated by using a pre-loaded copier card, available in denominations of either £10 or £20. Cards are to be purchased from Reception.

Reception

This is manned Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 5.30pm. The receptionist receives and announces all visitors and deals with incoming telephone calls on the Centre’s main number and diverted DDI calls.

Post

Post is delivered to reception each morning and is sorted and put in occupiers pigeon-holes for collection. Evening post is collected from reception by Royal Mail.

Meeting Rooms

There are 7 meeting rooms that cater for up to 16 people. These are booked through Reception and there is a small charge to occupiers for their use . Each room is equipped with a whiteboard, flipchart and internet connection. A data projector and conference phone can be hired from Reception.

Seminar Room

The Seminar Room has a flexible layout and can seat 40 theatre style or 20 classroom style. This room has a whiteboard, flipchart and overhead projector. Bookings are made through Reception and it is exclusively for the use of companies located on the Park.

Car Parking

Each unit has an allocation of spaces which are reserved for the exclusive use of the occupier. the number of spaces is determined by the size of the unit, but range from 1 - 3 dedicated spaces. In addition there are visitors parking spaces at the front of the building.
